I ended up falling in love with design and decided to specialize in something that would unite the three things I like most: images, information and narration, that is, infographics and information design. I’ve spent my whole life between images, and I think they’re the best way to say anything; they can be very eye-catching and they’re immediate, intuitive and universal, and that’s a big advantage in a saturated world.
I started the degree in Philosophy in Madrid, graduated in Fine Arts in Salamanca and did a master’s degree in design at the IED. I began my career dedicating myself to art and I made individual exhibitions in spaces such as the Nuble Gallery (currently josedelafuente.gallery) or the Experimental Art Space of the USAL, as well as group exhibitions in galleries and institutional spaces, such as the CAB of Burgos, or the Patio Herreriano Museum. I have participated in national fairs such as Artesantander or JustMadrid represented by Nuble Gallery and my work can be found in institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art DA2, the Díaz Caneja Foundation or the Regional Government of Castilla y León.
